Steps To Apply For Jobs
Step 1: Register to apply for jobs
- If you have already registered, skip to Step 4 (Log in to your account).
- Select the 'Apply Now' button on the home page and select 'Register' to create a profile.
- Enter your email address as your User ID.
- Create a password that meets the security requirements.
- Complete the CAPTCHA verification.
- Submit your details to begin profile creation.
Step 2: Email Verification
After submitting your information, you’ll receive a verification code from:

What to do:
- Check your email inbox for the verification email.
- If you don’t see it:
- Wait a few minutes and refresh your inbox.
- Check your Spam or Junk folders.
- Add noreply@gdc.ga.gov to your verified sender list to ensure future emails are delivered.
Step 3: Enter the Verification Code
- Type the verfication code (only the numbers) into the verification field on the website.
- For example, if you have received the code below, enter only 1546.
- Select the checkbox 'I am not a robot.'
- Click Submit.

Step 4: Log In to Your Profile
- Click the link provided in the confirmation message to go to the Login Page.
- Alternatively, go to the gdcjobs.com homepage and click the 'Apply Now' button.
- Or, click on the person icon in the top right corner of the menu of the jobs website.
- Enter your User ID (email address) and password again to access your profile.
Step 5: Create/Update Your Profile
- Once you successfully log in, you will see an 'APPLICANT PROFILE' page.
- Please note that there is a 45-minute time limit to enter and save your information on this page. After this time period, any unsaved data will be lost.
- This page allows you to add/update your profile, including Education, Work History, and other information, and save your profile.
- Information saved here gets pre-populated in the application for employment page.
- This page is not an employment application. To apply, go to 'Search Jobs', select a job from the job listing, click the 'Apply' button, and fill out the application form. Please click on the 'Help' button to view detailed instructions on how to apply for a job.
- Fill in each section of your profile one at a time.
- Click 'Save Profile at the bottom of the page after completing each section to ensure your progress is saved and to make the process smooth.
- Once all sections are completed and saved, your profile will be ready to procees with the application process.
Step 6: Important Tip for Resume Information
- Avoid copying and pasting large text blocks from your resume into the experience sections. Some special characters may not be accepted and could cause errors while saving.
- ✅ Instead, use a simple note such as:
“Please refer to the attached resume.” - This keeps your profile clean and easy to process.
Step 7: Applying for a Job
- Once your profile is complete, all the details you entered will automatically appear when you go to the 'Apply for Posting' page.
- Access login page. Go to the main menu on top of the home page. Click on the person icon on right side.
- Log into your profile. If you do not have a profile, click on Register to create your profile.
- On the APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT page, click on 'Click here to search jobs'' button on right side.
- Browse all job openings by Job Category, By Facility, or By County.
- To select a job to apply,
- click on the 'Apply' button on the job listing,
- or, click on 'Apply for this Position' button on the job details page.
- You will be redirected to APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT page.
- You should see 'Type Of Work' block immediately below Employment Eligibility block with Job Title,
- Job Code, Facility Office, and the Position Number of the job that you have selected.
- Fill out rest of the details on the page, (Education, Work History, etc).
- Scroll all the way down and upload your resume by clicking 'Choose File' button.
- 'Choose File' button allows you to browse your files on your computer and select your resume document.
- You can upload files in PDF format only. Convert your *.docx word documents to PDF before you uploading. If you have Windows 10 or 11, open your word document, print the document, in the printer options, select ‘Microsoft print to PDF’ option.
- Resume is required to submit the application.
- Veteran Preference document and Other documents are optional to submit your application.
- Click on Submit Application button to submit your application.
- Once the submit is successful, you should see a page saying, ‘We received your application. Thank you!'
- You should receive an email immediately notifying we have received your application. If you do not see the confirmation email in your Inbox, please check your junk folder.
Step 8: Logging out
- Make sure you log out by clicking the person icon on the top right side of the menu and selecting the 'logout' option.
